Soon after the come up of the SOSS Invisible Hinge, other hardware companies started creating imitation invisible hinges, but none compare to the authentic SOSS Invisible Hinge.
SOSS® Invisible Barrel Hinges are made of solid brass with brass links. They are easily installed and open a full 180 degrees. SOSS® Invisible Barrel Hinges are totally invisible from either side when the door is closed. SOSS® Invisible Barrel Hinges are not recommended for vertical or load bearing application.
Easily Installed
Secure mounting in wooden doors or panels is assured by tightening the tensioning screw on all models except the BH085. The hinge is held in place with #2 screws supplied with each hinge. For all other models, to accommodate more demanding weight applications, the cylinders can be additionally secured by installing a chipboard or wood screw in the groove on the exposed end. For best results, Forstner drill bits are recommended.
